Getting Skin More Brighter And Less Dull

As we grow older and are constantly exposed to the UV rays of the sun our skin starts to appear dry and dull. This is the result of the outside layer of the skin getting excessive build up and is not exfoliated on a regular basis. Build-up is especially noticed after we have spent the summer in the sun. It's more apparent to women since we realize that our make-up doesn't look as fresh and our foundation begins to fade within a couple of hours. Our make-up and foundation is actually being absorbed into the accumulated dead skin cells, which gives a very tired and unhealthy look to the skin.

To keep your skin vibrant and healthy on a regular basis, you must have a regimen that incorporates exfoliation and nourishing the skin. Your regular skin care program does not have to be a department store or drug store solution. You can prepare an all nature skin care program right from your kitchen table and manage to get the same results if not better results that your store bought product promises.

Exfoliation:

You should exfoliate at least 2-3 times per week (daily is even better) to keep the skin's healthy glow. One solution for exfoliating the skin in an in expensive way is to use sugar. Yes, Sugar! Glycolic acid which is found in most AHA (alpha hydroxyl acid) products is from sugar cane. You can benefit from glycolic acid by using sugar for exfoliation.

Simply mix 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of sugar in with a small amount of your favorite skin cleanser. Wet your face and massage the cleanser/sugar mixture over your face for 1-2 minutes. Rinse your face with lukewarm water to remove this mixture and you will instantly feel a difference in your skin.

Nourish:

Give your skin a refreshing drink with a simple nourishing facial mask. The ingredients are powerful and can be found in your kitchen. Combine one or more main ingredient with a liquid ingredient for to make a wonderful facial mask. Base your ingredient choices on the health properties of each item.

Base Ingredient:

Honey - It is a humectant (which draws in moisture) and it has antibacterial qualities that also stimulates and smoothes the skin.

Mango - Provides natural fruit enzymes which also exfoliates the skin and the oil in mangos help moisturize.

Avocado - A naturally rich moisturizer has essential fats and oils.

Oatmeal - Moisturizing and slightly exfoliating

Liquid Ingredient:

Milk - Enzymes and Lactose acid to exfoliate and milk fat to condition the skin.

Aloe Vera Gel - Healing and softening.

Egg White - tightening and conditioning.

You will want to follow your treatments with your favorite hypoallergenic moisturizer. For best results, these treatments can be done 2-3 times a week to help keep your skin youthful and vibrant.

German Around the World

German Around the World

The German language is a one of the world's major languages. The German language is closely related to English and Dutch. Around the world, German is spoken by 100 million native speakers and approximately an additional 80 million non-native speakers.

German is one of the 23 official languages of the EU and represents the largest number of speakers in the EU as well.

The German language is spoken primarily in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. German is also spoken in Liechtenstein and in Luxembourg. German is also spoken in significantly numerical communities in Italy, the East Cantons of Belgium, and in some border villages of Denmark.

The extent of the German empire and its influence in the of the 19th centuries through the end of the First World War can be seen in surviving remnants of German speaking throughout Europe. The extent of German throughout Europe is also linked to the fact that it was the language of commerce and government in the Hapsburg Empire. The Hapsburg Empire encompassed present day parts of Romania, the Czech Republic, and Hungary. German communities can even be found in Russia, and as far as Kazakhstan.

Even in Africa, home to various former German colonies, present day Namibia maintains German speaking population.

German-speaking communities however can be found throughout all of Europe and in significant numbers especially in the United States, Brazil, and Argentina.

The international reach of the German language can also be seen in the various dialects that are derived from German. For example, in Luxembourg and in neighboring areas significant portions of the population speak German dialects.

Of all countries where German dialects are spoken, the United States has the largest population of German speakers outside of Europe. The extent of German influence can be seen in part by the existence of a number of towns bearing German names. Examples of this include, New Leipzig, Munich, and Strasburg in the state of North Dakota as well as New Braunfels in the state of Texas.

Other communities bearing German dialects include those of a religious nature. Pennsylvania is home to Amish, Hutterites, Dunkards, and Mennonites. Kansas is also home to Mennonites and Volage Germans. Other states with historic German communities include South Dakota, Montana, Wisconsin, Indiana, Louisiana, Oklahoma, as well as Illinois and New York.

The extent of the German language and its diversity among even German states led to the process of standardization over several hundred years largely through the work of writers attempting to write in a way that could be understood by the largest body of potential readers. Nevertheless, regional differences remain in spoken German depending on the region it is spoken in.

If you are suffering from flatulence or bloating due to too much gas in your stomach, you are in the right place because this article will give you some examples of foods that are less likely to cause flatulence. It does not only make you feel uncomfortable, but it can also be embarrassing if you release gas in a crowd, especially if it is loud and smelly.
Most articles focus on the list of foods that causes flatulence. These are foods that have high carbohydrate contents, especially when they are not properly chewed and digested. However, it may be impossible to avoid all these foods because most of the nutritious foods that your body requires can cause flatulence. What you can do instead is to focus on the foods that are less likely to cause flatulence. Here are six food groups that you can eat without worrying about suffering from flatulence.

1. Non-gassy proteins Foods that are rich in protein do not really cause flatulence, except when they are not properly chewed and digested. There are some protein-rich foods that do not give off too much gas like grass fed lean beef, white meat like chicken and turkey, hard cheese, peanut butter, fish, and eggs. These foods are not only stomach-friendly. They are also good for people who are on a diet.

2. Vegetables with low carbohydrates The main culprit as to why people suffer from stomach gas problems is carbohydrates. This is why it is important to eat low carbohydrate foods like low carbohydrate vegetables since you cannot completely avoid carbohydrates in your diet. Some examples of carbohydrates are carrots, celery, cucumber, fennel, eggplant, green beans, herbs, greens, mushrooms, okra, pumpkin, radicchio, scallions, snow peas, tomatoes, zucchini, chives, and peppers.

3. Fruits with low sugar content Sugars found in fruits are known to cause flatulence. This type of sugar is called fructose. What you can do is to eat fruits with low sugar content like apples, certain berries, apricots, guavas, melons, grapefruit, pears, peaches, papayas, lime, lemon, plums, kiwis, watermelons, and nectarines. It is better to eat these fruits raw. Canned fruits may have additional sugar content that may cause bloating and flatulence.

4. Wheat alternatives Wheat is difficult to digest, which is why it is one of the main causes of flatulence. You can still enjoy bread, pasta, and other foods by using wheat alternatives like corn, rice, millet, and wild rice. You can also use quinoa flour for baking bread and nut meal for cookies and cakes. Instead of choosing pasta made of wheat, you can use pasta that comes from rice, corn, or quinoa flour.

5. Dairy substitutes Lactose is another form of sugar that can cause discomfort to your stomach. You can eat dairy substitutes made from soya like cheese, yogurts, and desserts; milk made from oat, almond, rice, and soya; and yeast flakes.

6. Avocado, humus, tahini, and guacamole For sandwich spreads and salad dressings, you can use these foods that do not cause flatulence. They are also healthier than other kinds of spreads and dressings.

Five Ideas for a Fabulous Backyard This Fall

Five Ideas for a Fabulous Backyard This Fall

If youre living somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere, youre not exactly packing in your shorts and flip-flops just yet. Youve pretty much got all year to enjoy that pleasant weather, maybe arriving at a brisk 50 degrees come the winter months. If your backyard has left much to be desired over the years, you may want to think about a few added accents to bring your outdoor space to the next level and make it a welcoming place for guests. Here are a few ideas to give your backyard a facelift:

Add an outdoor kitchen: Depending on how much cooking and entertaining you do, this may be a bit exaggerated and it is for sure an investment. But if you enjoy hosting dinner parties and that feeling of living outside, an outdoor cooking unit is a really unique touch. If a unit is too much, settle for a nice grill and patio set. A place to cook and dine is key to making your backyard cozier and a place that you and other people will want to be. Instead of a kitchen, maybe you want to put in a fun tiki bar, a place to sip a cool cocktail after a dip in the pool.

Install a gazebo or pergola: a dining and cooking area in the backyard would be incomplete without something to encompass it. A gazebo gives the area not only some shade but a really warm and put together feeling. If not above the patio table, use it by the pool to shade a relax area with some lounge chairs. Choose from different materials like wood for a truly rustic look. The great thing about a wooden gazebo or pergola is that you can keep them simple, or jazz them up. Add vines and intertwine plants for decoration and an added design effect. For the evening time, incorporate some lights, even your run of the mill string Christmas lights will surely do the trick.

Get a hammock: a small investment, a hammock can add a great accent to the backyard and is a great place to relax with a book on a Saturday afternoon. If you want to make it even more of a cozier nook, incorporate it with the gazebo, making it your own little private relax corner.

Light the Way: Dont shirk the importance of lighting in your backyard. Whether you prefer professional lights to line your walkway or some randomly placed tiki torches, lighting adds a great and stylish touch. If youre itching with creativity, look into some DIY lighting options that can be a fun craft and will surely save you money. Paint some coffee cans and put candles inside or go for the vintage mason jar look. Usually, all it takes is something laying around the house and a few inexpensive candles.

Outdoor firepits: Firepits, outdoor fireplaces, and chimeneas are the latest trend in backyards everywhere. It seems every summer there's an invite at least once a week to sit around someone's fire pit. If you live somewhere like New England, you know that the summer evenings can get chilly, especially if you live by the water. And if you're not exactly into camping, this is something that brings the campground to your backyard. Like the kitchen, you can opt for an all out stone-encased fireplace or simply a small chiminea. The outdoor is all about "creating spaces." There's the dining space, a relaxing space, and even with the firepit you can choose to dedicate an area to sit around the fire.

Whether youre a social butterfly entertaining guests one after another or just simply love being outdoors, give your backyard that extra touch that will make it irresistibly welcoming.

Fatten Up That Wallet

Fatten Up That Wallet

There are many ways that you could make yourself some money: win the lottery; dream up a game changing piece of technology or find out you are legitimately due inheritance from a long lost relative who was Nigerian royalty.

If you find yourself unable to check off any of the above boxes, you could always try some of the more straight forward and likely methods of fattening up your bank balance. Some do more fattening than others, but in the end up, youll be financially better off if you practise any of the following methods.

Analyse Your Spending

Even if you think you are already quite financially savvy or even frugal, there are likely ways that you can cut down on your spending even more. Take lunches for example. Do you buy your lunch every day? Why cant you buy in the stuff you like yourself and make pack lunches? Coffee is another big one. As a country, we spend 6.3 billion a year on takeaway coffee! That is ridiculous. So, invest in a travel mug and start buying your own coffee. Youll be surprised at how much you can save.

Monetise a Talent

There is probably something that youre good at, right? Singing, dancing, drawing everyone usually has a talent or a hobby, and the possibility of turning this into a paying gig is higher than youd think. There are websites out there that encourage such behaviour, such as Fiverr. Fiverr will let you promote yourself and your talent and/or service, and allow you to make money from it. So whether youre a writer or a designer, have a look online, there is always a way in which you can make yourself some extra cash from this.

Upgrade

Okay, this one will require you to spend some money first, but itll be worth it in the end. Unless you live in a brand new, state of the art house or flat, chances are there is at least one thing you can do to improve your home. And this improvement isnt just going to make the place look and feel nicer, its going to increase the value on your home and give you a return on your investment.

Alternatively, if youre renting at the moment, youd be surprised at how much money you can save on paying a mortgage as opposed to paying rent. Yes, youll obviously need a deposit to buy your first home, but there are help to buy ISAs out there that can help you with this. Perhaps upgrading to homeowner from renter is the smartest upgrade to make.

Get Healthy

There are a few ways in which getting healthy will do you well. If you drive (and its possible) maybe walk or cycle to work. Youll save money on petrol in return, youll get fitter. You should also cut out the junk food. All of these overpriced treats, whether it be a takeaway or confectionery, while tasting good, arent good for you. Generally speaking, buying healthy food is a lot cheaper than buying brand name junk. So, if you cut these out you will again be saving yourself money, while doing your health a favour at the same time.

These are obviously just a few ways of tightening up your spending and putting more money in your pocket, but there will always be more ways. Anything that you're paying for, things like electricity and gas bills, for example - there's always a good chance that there is a cheaper option out there.

Look at what you're spending, and where. With a bit of research, and a bit of thought, chances are, you'll be able to save some money in some manner - one way or another.
